As part of Discovery we interview the people who perform the day-to-day processes. For example. if we were looking at improving the sales processes, we would want to interview the salespeople and the sales managers. By interviewing the people performing the current process, you would also ask them where certain processes falter. (Where are the bumps in the road, what are is not being gathered, what is being gathered that is irrelevant)? You might hear us asking questions such as “Tell us about your company” or “Walk us through this process” or ‘Who is in charge of this at your company?” This is our time to listen and learn as much as we can abut the company, so that we can identify bottlenecks, etc.

When a lead enters our system, it typically originates from either a form submission or a meeting at a trade show. When the lead comes in, lead record, followed by outreach via email or phone communication. During this interaction, we pose qualifying questions, including inquiries about budget, decision-making authority, company needs, and project timeline, known as the BANT review.

Based on the responses gathered and the outcome of the BANT review, a pivotal decision point emerges: Is the lead deemed an opportunity? If not, the lead is disqualified -no further action is taken with this lead. If the answer is yes, the lead then qualified. Dynamics 365 then automatically creates the lead as an account, a contact, and an opportunity.
