enCloud9 | Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Consultants Daily Cloud News Ignite Edition- Fri. Sept. 30, 2016 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Tired of the same old Office 365 App Launcher with same sized squares for every app? Well Microsoft is rolling out an update during October that allows you more freedom to customize the app. The experience will be similar to the Windows 10 Start Menu in that you will be able to resize the app tiles. You can make them smaller so that you can fit  four in the size of today’s standard tile, or you can stretch them out and make tiles twice as big.  I am looking forward to this as the different tile sizes allow me to emphasize the apps that I use most of all for example, I rarely use Word Online, but I use Admin and CRM all the time. I will make the CRM tab twice the size so that I can find it easier, while making the Word Tile quarter sized so that it is still visible, but not in my face. This update will be rolling out this month to First Release customers and to all users starting in October. Read more at MsPoweruser.

enCloud9 | Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Consultants Daily Cloud News Ignite Edition- Fri. Sept. 30, 2016 Microsoft Dynamics CRM Does your chewing gum lose its flavor (on the bedpost over night)?  Many people have re-made this song, but do you know who the original singer of this song is.  It’s Lonnie Donegan  (29 April 1931 – 3 November 2002).  Donegan was a British skiffle singer, songwriter and musician, referred to as the King of Skiffle.  He influenced 1960s British pop musicians.  The British Hit Singles & Albums lists him as “Britain’s most successful and influential recording artist before the Beatles“.

Mark Benioff is mad as hell and he wants the EU to do something about it! Salesforce’s CEO, Benioff,  has made no secret of his bitterness towards losing the bidding war for LinkedIn to Microsoft.  Salesforce is worried that Microsoft is going to restrict competitor access to LinkedIn data, as a result of the Microsoft purchase of LinkedIn. Microsoft has not specifically stated that they will block competitors from accessing the valuable sales data in LinkedIn’s archives, but Benioff is doing what he needs to do to extract confessions from Microsoft.

No matter what the result, Bennioff’s interferrance in the LinkedIn purchase spotlights the danger to Saleforce that the Microsoft-Linked deal presents.  Read more at Bloomberg.

As Salesforce bites its nails and tries to convince regulators to do some intervening in Microsoft’s LinkedIn acquisition, Microsoft is pulling its boxing gloves on and says “Game on!”  Interesting article at Business Insider.
