In January, Microsoft released Office 2013 for home and personal users. This new version included a cloud based subscription which we know as Office 365. The version of Office included with Office 365 is
Office 365 ProPlus.
ProPlus includes Access, Excel, InfoPath, Lync, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Word. The features available in these applications are installed locally on user’s desktop (up to 5 machines per license. Some Office 365 licensing programs also include web based versions of a few of these programs. They may also include storage through Microsoft’s SkyDrive or SharePoint.
Office 365 Small Business
At a price point of $6 per user per month and if your business will likely never grow beyond 25 users, then you should consider this version of Office 365. While you do not receive the desktop version of the Office Product, you do receive Office Web Apps, Exchange, Lync and SharePoint.
Office 365 Small Business Premium
Small Business Premium costs $15.00 per user per month and adds the Desktop version of Office ProPlus. This option is for small businesses with 10 or fewer employees and costs less than $15 per user per month. Users will be able to install the software on five total machines and store documents in the cloud with 10 GB per user.
Office 365 Midsize Business
Offering better administration tools than the Small Business Levels, Midsize Business is for companies with less than 250 users and costs less than $15 per user per month. Midsized Business can also integrate with an organization’s Active Directory. Also, Dynamics CRM Online can be added to this plan.
Office 365 Enterprise
There are two levels of Office 365 available for large organizations.
E1 included Exchange Online with Active Directory integration, SharePoint Online, File sharing and Office Web Apps. Unlimited subscribers can be added at $8.00 per user per month.
E3 is the most complete package available. for $20 per user per month, you have all of the aforementioned features and an excellent Administrative dashboard. Also, Dynamics CRM Online can be added to your subscription.
